Despite the lockdown and all the measures aimed at curbing coronavirus in Ghana, the cases keep rising. The government has, therefore, come up with another strategy to help fight it.
There’s going to be house to house testing of resident starting from those in the Ayawaso West Municipality after the area was identified with relatively high COVID-19 cases.
Areas such as Legon, Dzorwulu, East Legon, Okponglo, Abelenkpe, Roman Ridge, Airport Residential and surrounding communities will be tested during this period according to reports from health authorities.
A statement from the health authorities says: “directive from the National Level has been given to conduct a COVID-19 contact tracing of all persons who have come into contact with COVID-19 positive patients…and conduct compulsory house to house testing of every individual residing in Ayawaso West Municipality”.
The authorities also urged residents in these areas to remain calm and cooperate with the authorities.
